Many presentations or sermons are born from an aha moment in the wilderness. Have Sacred Parks fill a meaningful slot in your pulpit, or some time in the front of your bible study or youth group "classroom". We can work with your sermon or adult forum schedule, and we don't mind using the lectionary! Weaving experiences of camping, hiking, and green concerns into a presentation, we can craft a sermon or presentation, speaker/sermon series, or adult forum session/s together for your organization.
Topics often focused on in sermons or presentations/workshops are:
- Key biblical figures and their wilderness moments (e.g. Jesus, Moses, Isaiah)
- How God speaks to us in parables of nature
- The call for simplicity and community in scripture
- The "Job moment" and the need for the wild mercy of God
Many of Paul's experiences in wilderness settings have involved spiritual moments and practical moments alike: times when Paul saw theological truths take on flesh and dwell among us. At Sacred Parks we are eager to share how the wild and our daily lives intersect and how we are called to appreciate, conserve and preserve God's planet.
